 Made in China, Made to Care: SINOMACH Changlin  Engineer Celebrates Mid-Autumn & National Day on Zambia Worksite

Lusaka, Zambia – September 29, 2025** – While millions of families in China were admiring the full moon and flying the national flag, one SINOMACH engineer was tightening bolts and commissioning machines 8,000 kilometres away. Shen Jiangshan, after-sales service specialist of SINOMACH-HI INTERNATIONAL EQUIPMENT CO., LTD.,, spent this year's Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday in a very special way – ensuring every wheel loader and every rough-terrain crane on a Zambian construction site runs perfectly.

 Moonlight on the Equator, SINOMACH Blue Shines

Since the project kicked off, Shen has been the permanent "technical guardian" on site. "Whenever equipment I repaired glides smoothly and the engine roar blends with the rhythm of progress, I feel the Mid-Autumn moon is also rising for me," he said with a smile, wiping dust off his sleeves.

From troubleshooting hydraulics at dawn to fine-tuning engines under the midday sun, his daily routine is simple but solid: inspect, repair, commission, and train local operators. The repetitive motions have become his unique festival ritual, echoing the pounding of piles and the pouring of concrete.

Smiles Beyond Borders

The real reward, however, comes from the people around him. Children from nearby villages often crowd the fence, curiously watching the "big yellow machines". "They wave at me, shout 'How are you?' and love to take photos with the equipment. Those innocent smiles are the best Mid-Autumn gift," Shen shares.

These candid moments – kids against SINOMACH blue, operators giving thumbs-up after a successful test – are captured and sent back to headquarters, becoming emotional postcards that transcend language and culture.

 Homesickness Turned into Horsepower

Of course, distance breeds homesickness. "I miss my family, I miss mooncakes, I miss the flag-raising ceremony on National Day," Shen admits. But he quickly converts that longing into motivation. "Every time I solve a fault, every time a client says 'Well done!', I know I’m adding bricks to the reputation of 'SINOMACH' overseas and contributing to my motherland’s prosperity from the grassroots."
